Axcis Education are looking for a committed teaching assistant to work in a local primary school near Erdington. The role is starting immediately, with the view of continuing into the next academic year from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health issues (SEMH). The school values enabling their children to become proud and active members of the wider community. The senior leadership team values and liaises with parents, believing they are each child’s first educators.
This is a full-time Teaching Assistant position, working every day Monday to Friday. The role will involve supporting children with varying complex needs. In this role, candidates will be paid £14.25 per hour.
The Role- Supporting children between the ages of 4 to 11
- Supporting pupils with SEMH and autism
- Provide students with personalised and tailored support for all individual needs
- Build meaningful, positive relationships with all students
- Bring a calming influence to the classroom
- Previous experience supporting young people with SEMH
- A caring and patient nature, with the ability to foster positive and meaningful relationships with all pupils
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- Availability to work 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
