The predicted salary is between 25000 - 28000 £ per year.

Temporary position with potential for permanent placement. We are partnering with a specialist SEND setting on the border of Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire that provides education for secondary-aged pupils with an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) as well as autism and attachment disorder. The role is full-time, commencing immediately and continuing through the current academic year with a possibility of extension next year for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with bespoke curriculum, including core subjects (Maths, English, Science) and foundation subjects.
  • Facilitate and participate in a wide range of activities such as forest school, football, water sports, and other outdoor opportunities.
  • Assist pupils in developing skills for long‑term reintegration into mainstream education.
  • Participate in CPD, team briefings, handovers and other administrative duties.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive and team‑oriented environment throughout the school.

Employment Details:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:00 (students leave at 15:30).
  • Pay: £98‑£110 per day depending on experience. Payment is made a week in arrears every Friday.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Personal and/or professional experience with SEMH, autism or attachment disorder.
  • Compassionate, reliable, caring, adaptable, resilient and a team player.
  • Suitable qualification for the role and willing to attend a face‑to‑face interview with Axcis.

Compliance & Background Checks:

Axcis requires an up‑to‑date DBS (or willingness to allow Axcis to process one on your behalf) and will conduct other mandatory compliance checks in line with DfE guidelines.
