Position Overview

We are seeking a full‑time Graduate Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to students aged 15‑18 in partnership with secondary schools and colleges in the Birmingham area. The role focuses on helping students with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, or social, emotional and mental health challenges engage in lessons, develop coping strategies and build confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one‑to‑one support to individual students during school hours.
  • Assist students in staying engaged in lessons and applying coping strategies.
  • Support students in building confidence within a structured school environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduated with a degree in psychology (or a related discipline).
  • Voluntary or professional experience supporting individuals with additional needs is desirable.
  • Strong empathy, patience and emotional intelligence.
  • Reliability, resilience and a proactive attitude.
  • Interest in mental health and behaviour.
