About the Role

SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School SRP (KS2) is a full-time, long-term position starting in March 2026. The role supports a small group of up to 10 KS2 pupils with SEMH, ASD, and behavioural challenges in a supportive and inclusive primary school setting near West Drayton Station.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted support for KS2 pupils with SEMH and ASD.
  • Support behaviour management using de-escalation strategies and positive reinforcement.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and the wider SEND team.
  • Help create and maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting KS2-aged children with ASD, SEMH, or challenging behaviour.
  • A confident, proactive, and resilient approach to behaviour management.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-focused mindset.
  • Team-Teach training (highly desirable).
