We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a dynamic and fast-paced school environment in the West Drayton area. This role is ideal for someone with strong pastoral skills, the ability to support students’ wellbeing, and confidence in managing behaviour effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students across various age groups
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive behaviour strategies
- Offer pastoral support to help students develop confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning support
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Adapt to a fast-paced setting and respond to the needs of students throughout the school day
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or in a pastoral/behaviour support role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and proactive under pressure
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour
- A caring, supportive, and resilient approach
