We are recruiting a dedicated KS1 Interventions Specialist for an 'Outstanding' Primary School in Altrincham. This role is highly targeted, focusing entirely on boosting reading, writing and numeracy confidence for small groups of pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 who need extra help.
Responsibilities:- Deliver structured, high‑impact phonics intervention sessions to small groups of pupils.
- Pull pupils out of the main classroom to run targeted catch‑up sessions in literacy and math.
- Monitor, track and record pupil progress, feeding back data directly to the KS1 Lead.
- Create bespoke, engaging learning resources to keep pupils motivated.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers to tailor support to individual learning styles.
- Deep knowledge of primary phonics programmes (e.g., Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds, Phonics Bug).
- Previous experience running academic interventions or working closely with KS1 pupils.
- An ambitious individual; this role is ideal for experienced TAs or aspiring teachers looking to make a measurable impact.
