Unqualified Learning Support Assistant - Primary SEND Sutton, South London | Full-Time, Term Time Only (Temp to Perm) | From Β£14.25 per hour

Are you passionate about supporting children and looking to start a rewarding career in education? Axcis Education is recruiting an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary SEND school in Sutton. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, and additional learning needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop important life skills. This role is ideal for candidates from care, childcare, youth work, sports coaching, support work, healthcare, or customer-facing backgrounds who enjoy working with children and want to make a genuine difference every day.

What the role involves

Support primary-aged pupils with SEND in the classroom and around the school. Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help children engage in learning. Encourage communication, social interaction, and emotional development. Assist with creative, sensory, and practical learning activities. Support children with developing independence and positive behaviour. Work closely with teachers and SEND professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.

What we're looking for

  • A positive, patient, and nurturing approach.
  • A passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to remain calm, flexible, and resilient.
  • No formal Teaching Assistant qualifications required.
