SEMH Teaching Assistant (Trauma-Informed Practice)
Location: Stockport
Age Range: 11β16
Salary: Β£100+ per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the school: A mixed independent therapeutic school supporting pupils aged 11β16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEMH needs in both classroom and pastoral settings
- Apply trauma-informed practices to support emotional regulation and behaviour
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Assist in delivering personalised learning and intervention strategies
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
- Support pupils in developing social skills, resilience, and self-confidence
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and carers to support holistic development
About You
- Passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs
- Patient, empathetic, and emotionally intelligent
- Skilled (or willing to develop skills) in trauma-informed practice
- Resilient and calm under pressure
- Strong communicators who can build meaningful relationships
- Experienced in education, care, youth work, or similar (desirable but not essential)
