Overview
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Sale, Trafford is looking to appoint a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to support a child on a one-to-one basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in education who is looking for a long-term role, with the possibility of joining the school’s team permanently.
Responsibilities
- Offer one-to-one support to a child with specific learning or behavioural needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
- Help deliver engaging and accessible learning activities
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
- Support the wider classroom when needed
- Communicate regularly with staff and contribute to progress reviews
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience working with children in a school or education setting
- Is confident supporting pupils with additional or complex needs
- Is calm, understanding and patient
- Takes initiative and works well as part of a team
- Holds a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
