Overview

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Sale, Trafford is looking to appoint a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to support a child on a one-to-one basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in education who is looking for a long-term role, with the possibility of joining the school’s team permanently.

Responsibilities

  • Offer one-to-one support to a child with specific learning or behavioural needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
  • Help deliver engaging and accessible learning activities
  • Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
  • Support the wider classroom when needed
  • Communicate regularly with staff and contribute to progress reviews

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Has experience working with children in a school or education setting
  • Is confident supporting pupils with additional or complex needs
  • Is calm, understanding and patient
  • Takes initiative and works well as part of a team
  • Holds a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
