Do you want a role where your support truly matters — not just academically, but socially and emotionally too? We’re looking for a compassionate and resilient SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist school in Taunton that supports children and young people with complex additional needs. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, with the opportunity to become permanent after a 16-week settling‑in period. Working hours are 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, and the pay rate is £13.70 per hour.

About the setting: This is a specialist all-through school supporting pupils from early years through to post‑16. Learners have a range of needs including SEMH, autism and moderate to profound learning disabilities. Education is highly personalised, with small class sizes, structured routines and specialist facilities that support communication, sensory regulation and life skills. The most recent Ofsted inspection rated the school Good, highlighting strong relationships between staff and pupils, a calm and nurturing environment, and the school’s commitment to helping every learner make progress in their own way.

Responsibilities
