Training Dates: Tuesday 17th Weds 18th Feb 8.30am – 3.30pm
We are looking for fun, energetic and enthusiastic candidates to work with students aged 11‑16 in our local PRU’s or Alternative Provisions. This is a great opportunity for candidates to develop their skills and to be supported by settings that believe in securing professional development for staff. To ensure candidates are effective practitioners, we are holding Team Teach training for candidates that register with us. Generally, the cost for you to attend Team Teach courses through your own means would be upwards of £200; however, we are able to offer this course for a heavily subsidised cost – this is still to be confirmed but will not exceed £30 per person.
Responsibilities
- Be a role model, mentor and daily support to the child/ren you will be working with.
- Support students with SEND to overcome social and academic barriers.
- Support the class teacher in delivery of the curriculum.
- Make reasonable adjustments to ensure students thrive in the setting.
- Provide 1:1 or group support to identified students.
- Be passionate about supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Provide support advice and guidance.
- Promote independence in line with the setting's policy.
