We are seeking a caring and reliable Lunch Cover Assistant to join our dedicated team at a SEND school in Sutton. This role involves supporting SEND students during lunchtime hours. Flexibility to work with students across various age groups is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support students during lunch breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene, while maintaining students’ dignity and comfort.
- Provide support for students with medical needs, following care plans and using specialist equipment as required.
- Foster positive interactions among students, promoting social inclusion and engagement.
- Adapt to the needs of different age groups, providing tailored support to each student.
Requirements:
- Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD, PMLD, or medical needs (preferred but not essential).
- A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to supporting students’ individual needs.
