The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner / Reception Teaching Assistant to join the Reception team. The successful candidate will support children within the Early Years setting, helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum within the Reception class
  • Work closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team
  • Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning activities
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and classroom practice
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Skills & Experience Required

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification preferred
  • Candidates without a Level 3 qualification must have at least 1 year of Early Years experience within the UK
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Experience working within a primary school or nursery setting
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
