Axcis is on the search for qualified (QTS) and/or unqualified teachers (relatable level 4 or 5 qualifications accepted) for a brilliant special school in the Solihull area. The school specialises in supporting children and young people with Complex Autism, catering to individuals aged 4 to 19 years, tailoring their provision to each individual’s needs. The school is in need of teachers for day-to-day absence cover across the primary and secondary departments.
With them being a specialist provision, the school is looking for teachers who have previous SEND experience, preferably as a teacher within a SEND school or resource hub.
Job details:- Cover teacher in an ASD-specific SEND school
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Part-time hours (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
- Start date - ASAP
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) OR relatable Level 4 or 5 qualification – Essential
- Experience of working with pupils with Complex Autism – Essential
- Experience of working with individuals who display challenging behaviour – Essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required or we’re happy to carry out a new one ahead of you starting the position – Essential
- Minimum of 2 good references – Essential
