We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in West Bromwich with an immediate start available. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to support pupils across the primary age range with a variety of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos and strong support network for both staff and pupils.
The Role:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
- Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
- Support the implementation of EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Promote positive behaviour strategies and emotional wellbeing
- Help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment
- Liaise effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents where required
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working within a primary school setting (preferred)
- Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
