We are looking for a Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in West Bromwich, with an immediate start available. This role offers a long‑term opportunity, ideally on a full‑time basis, supporting pupils with additional learning needs. You will work closely with children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them engage with lessons and develop both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual and small group support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
- Support the delivery and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Encourage pupils’ learning, confidence and emotional wellbeing
- Work alongside teachers, SENCOs and wider school staff
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and well‑structured classroom environment
Requirements
- A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs
- A calm, patient and adaptable approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience in a school or SEN setting is beneficial but not required
- A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
