Position: Full Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Smethwick (B66). Full‑time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm) start date December 2025. Pay: from £89 per day, £13.86 per hour.
We are currently seeking a proactive, caring individual who is passionate about supporting children with their academics and personal development. This role will involve working on a one‑to‑one basis or in small groups with a wide range of SEN pupils. It is a full‑time, long‑term role with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
- Support pupils with academic, emotional, and social development
- Follow and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and other staff
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- School experience highly desired; care experience considered
- Previous experience supporting SEN children or vulnerable adults is essential
- Full‑time role only
- Positive, patient, and adaptable approach to working with young people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
This is a temporary position unless stated otherwise. We offer £50 shopping vouchers for referrals leading to placements.
