Location: Barnet, North London Start Date: ASAP Position: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Contract: Ongoing Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Are you a patient, resilient, and compassionate individual with experience supporting children with behavioural needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barnet is seeking a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with challenging behaviour. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive, both academically and emotionally. The Role: Provide individual support to a Year 3 pupil with behavioural and emotional needs Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policy Support the pupil’s learning and development, adapting tasks when necessary Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals Build a trusting, consistent relationship to help the pupil feel safe and understood Maintain accurate records and contribute to regular review meetings Requirements: Experience working with children with challenging behaviour is essential Background in a primary school or SEND setting preferred Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, positive approach Ability to build rapport and maintain clear boundaries A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one Available for immediate start and committed to full-time work The School Offers: A supportive and collaborative team environment Access to training and CPD opportunities A dedicated leadership team focused on inclusion and pupil wellbeing
