We are seeking a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming school community in Hampton, London. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access learning and reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons and activities tailored to SEND students
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement and independence
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and other stakeholders
  • Support students with personal care needs, mobility, and safe access to the school environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development

Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children with SEND (desirable)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
