Axcis Education are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to work in schools across Skelmersdale and West Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher with experience of supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to make a real impact in a rewarding role. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons, tailored to meet the needs of pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work closely with support staff, parents, and the wider school team to ensure every pupil has the opportunity to succeed both academically and personally. The Opportunity: β’ Role: SEND Teacher β’ Location: Skelmersdale and West Lancashire β’ Term-time only β’ Flexible start dates available β’ Full-time role, with part-time considered for the right candidate Key Responsibilities: β’ Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of pupils with SEND β’ Create and implement personalised learning plans in line with EHCPs β’ Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a safe and positive learning environment β’ Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals to provide holistic support β’ Track and assess pupil progress, ensuring that each child is supported to achieve their potential β’ Promote independence, resilience, and confidence in pupils both inside and outside of the classroom What Weβre Looking For: β’ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) β essential β’ Experience of teaching pupils with SEND, either in a mainstream or specialist setting β’ A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach to teaching and learning β’ Strong behaviour management and communication skills If you are an experienced and compassionate SEND Teacher who is committed to helping children thrive, we would love to hear from you.
