Location: Bromley, BR2

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 3:30pm

Are you passionate about supporting young people with SEND and helping them achieve greater independence? We are recruiting enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join a welcoming specialist provision in Bromley, supporting students aged 16+ with a range of complex needs. We are looking for both 1:1 and group support staff who are caring, proactive, and committed to making a positive impact.

The Role

You will support young adults with a variety of additional needs, helping them access education, develop life skills, and build confidence as they prepare for adulthood. Students may have needs including:

  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Medical needs
  • Down’s Syndrome
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Physical disabilities and mobility needs
  • Wheelchair users

Learning Environment & Activities

Students take part in a broad and engaging curriculum designed to prepare them for life beyond education, including:

  • Independent living skills
  • Creative activities such as drama, arts, and crafts
  • Performances and school events
  • Forest School sessions
  • Community activities and work placements

What We’re Looking For

  • Have experience supporting young people with SEND, care, or similar transferable experience.
  • Have a positive personality and a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Are active, energetic, and comfortable supporting students with physical needs.
  • Are confident assisting with mobility support, including pushing wheelchairs when required.
  • Can remain calm, patient, and proactive in a busy learning environment.
  • Encourage independence by supporting students to achieve tasks rather than completing them for them.
  • Use positive reinforcement and promote confidence and self-esteem.

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
