We are seeking a committed and compassionate SENCo, or an Assistant SENCo willing to train, to join a welcoming special school in Sutton (SM6). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SENCo or a developing professional looking to progress into the role with full support and training.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support SEND provision across the school
- Work closely with teaching staff, therapists and external professionals
- Oversee EHCPs, reviews and personalised learning plans
- Support staff with inclusive practice and SEND strategies
- Ensure statutory SEND requirements are met
Qualifications
- Qualified SENCo or Assistant SENCo ready to train into the role
- Experience working within a special school or SEND setting
- Strong understanding of a range of additional needs
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Passion for improving outcomes for children with SEND
