A vibrant and inclusive primary school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team from September to provide support for students with speech, language, and communication needs. This full-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on pupils' development and confidence within a nurturing school environment.
Job Type
This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.
Responsibilities
- Providing tailored support to students with speech and language difficulties
- Assisting with the implementation of EHCP targets and specialist interventions
- Supporting access to the curriculum across a range of subjects
- Fostering communication and social skills through structured and informal interaction
- Liaising with speech and language therapists and other external professionals as required
Qualifications
- Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one prior to starting
- Previous experience in a similar role within a primary or specialist setting is advantageous
- Strong understanding of supporting individuals with speech and language needs
