Axcis Education is seeking a resilient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with SEMH and behavioural needs at a primary school in St George, Bristol. This full-time role begins in Term 6 (June) and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, with a strong likelihood of continuing into the next academic year (September).
- Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Help the pupil develop emotional regulation, positive behaviour and engagement with learning
- Implement consistent routines and behaviour strategies
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider staff team
- Create a safe, structured and supportive environment for the pupil to thrive
Pay from £92.36
The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience supporting children with SEMH, behavioural needs or SEND (desirable but not essential)
- Is calm, patient and resilient when managing challenging situations
- Can build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil
- Is confident implementing boundaries and behaviour support strategies
- Is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning
