Position: SEMH Teaching Assistants Location: Hyde, Greater Manchester Pay Rate: £83.40 – £100 per day, experience dependant Age Group: Primary (ages 4-11) Start Date: ASAP or January 2025 Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for dedicated and empathetic SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a fantastic special primary school in Hyde. Axcis is working in partnership with this unique school who aims to provide a nurturing environment for children with varied learning difficulties, including Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviours. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting these students in achieving their full potential, both academically and personally. What we’re looking for: – Experience working with children with SEMH needs or other additional learning difficulties. – A compassionate and patient approach to working with young learners. – Strong
communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. – Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of the students. What you’ll do: – Support the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and interventions. – Build positive relationships with students to help them feel safe and understood. – Encourage and motivate students to engage in their learning. – Help manage classroom behaviours in line with school policies.
