Overview
Axcis Education are supporting an SEMH school in Torbay for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The school is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to start as soon as possible, with a September 2025 start target. The school hours are 8:50–3:00. The pay rate is £13.50–£15 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is likely to be permanent for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEMH in the classroom and across the school to promote progress
- Work within trauma-informed principles and contribute to a flexible curriculum centred on the pupils
- Help pupils become confident, successful, and responsible learners
