Axcis is working with a fantastic secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, seeking a dedicated individual to support a specific student on a 1:1 basis. The student has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and exhibits challenging behaviour.
Position Details
- Role: Secondary Teaching Assistant
- Support: 1:1 with ASD student
- Pay: £90 - £105 per day (dependent on skills and experience)
- Schedule: Term Time Only, Monday-Friday, 08:15am - 4:00pm
- Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
- Start Date: ASAP until the end of the academic year
- Availability: Full-time and part-time roles available
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to the pupil's specific needs and follow all care plans.
- Ensure the safety of the student, supporting and de-escalating challenging behaviour when necessary.
- Provide 1:1 support inside and outside the classroom to facilitate full engagement in activities.
