Position: Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA).

Contract Type: Full time/Day to Day/ Long term.

Start Date: Before Feb Half term, subject to compliance checks.

We are looking for fun, energetic and enthusiastic candidates to work with students aged 11-14 in a small SEMH setting in Salford. This is a great opportunity for candidates to develop their skills and to be supported by a friendly and supportive staff team.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a role model, mentor and daily support to the child/ren you will be working with.
  • Support students with SEND to overcome social and academic barriers.
  • Support the class teacher in delivery of the curriculum.
  • Make reasonable adjustments to ensure students thrive in the setting.
  • Provide 1:1 or group support to identified students.
  • Be passionate about supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Provide support advice and guidance.
  • Promote independence in line with the settings policy.
