Inclusion Teacher (SEND) – Temporary to Permanent

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire

Contract: Full‑time (Temp to Perm)

Salary: Starting at £150 per day, progressing to teacher salary upon permanent placement

Start Date: September 2026

Axcis Education is recruiting a resilient and proactive Inclusion Teacher to support pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour within a supportive primary school in Rugby. This is a temporary‑to‑permanent opportunity aimed at securing a long‑term teaching position within an inclusive and nurturing school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead targeted support for pupils with SEND, including those with challenging behaviour
  • Deliver adapted lessons and interventions on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Implement behaviour plans and positive reinforcement strategies
  • Support pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs
  • Work closely with the SENCO and wider staff team to plan and differentiate learning
  • Promote emotional regulation, engagement, and social development
  • Create and maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or experience teaching within SEND/inclusion settings
  • Strong experience supporting pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour
  • Calm, consistent, and confident approach to behaviour management
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of additional needs
  • A committed team player with excellent communication skills
