Inclusion Teacher (SEND) – Temporary to Permanent

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire.

Contract Type: Full-time (Temp to Perm).

Salary: From £150 per day (with progression to teacher salary upon permanent placement).

Start Date: September 2026.

Axcis Education is recruiting a resilient and proactive Inclusion Teacher to support pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour within a supportive primary school in Rugby. This is a temporary‑to‑permanent opportunity starting in September, ideal for someone looking to secure a long‑term teaching position within an inclusive and nurturing school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead targeted support for pupils with SEND, including those with challenging behaviour.
  • Deliver adapted lessons and interventions on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Implement behaviour plans and positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Support pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and wider staff team to plan and differentiate learning.
  • Promote emotional regulation, engagement, and social development.
  • Create and maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or experience teaching within SEND/inclusion settings.
  • Strong experience supporting pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour.
  • Calm, consistent, and confident approach to behaviour management.
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of additional needs.
  • A committed team player with excellent communication skills.
