A welcoming primary school in Redditch (B98) is looking for a caring and committed Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. The school is seeking someone who is passionate about supporting young children, particularly those with additional needs such as communication delays, developmental needs, or social/emotional challenges. You will be working within the Early Years setting, supporting children through play-based learning, classroom routines, and small-group activities. This is a rewarding role suited to someone patient, nurturing, and confident in building relationships with young learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support young children with SEN through play, interaction, and structured activities
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support within the Early Years environment
  • Help implement IEPs and support strategies set by the teacher and SENCO

Requirements

  • Nursery/Early Years experience is strongly welcomed

  • Full-time or part-time availability (minimum 3–4 days per week)
  • A warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach when supporting young children
  • Confident teamwork and communication skills
  • A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
