We are recruiting a full‑time SEN Teaching Assistant to support post‑16 students with autism and learning disabilities in Bath. The position is part of a well‑respected college committed to preparing young people for adulthood.
Hours: Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am–3:30 pm
Salary: £14.30 per hour
Start: September, with the possibility of becoming permanent after a 16‑week settling‑in period.
Responsibilities:
- Support students during lessons and practical activities
- Help learners develop confidence, communication and independence
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support where required
- Encourage positive engagement academically and socially
- Work closely with teaching staff and the wider support team to meet individual student needs
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Relevant experience as a Teaching Assistant or supporting individuals with additional needs (beneficial but not essential)
- Patience, reliability, positivity and a genuine desire to make a meaningful impact
- Suitable qualification for the position
