The Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse to join the school's Early Years team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children's learning and development while maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding, and classroom practice. Working alongside the Early Years team and Room Leader, you will help create an engaging, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that reflects the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a positive role model, consistently promoting best practice within the Early Years setting.
- Deliver high-quality care and learning in line with the EYFS Framework.
- Support the implementation of the room development plan and contribute towards achieving Ofsted standards.
- Work collaboratively with the Room Leader to implement nursery initiatives and daily routines.
- Take responsibility, individually or jointly, for Early Years projects and curriculum initiatives.
- Promote children's learning, independence, and wellbeing through engaging activities.
- Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection at all times.
- Ensure learning environments remain safe, stimulating, and well organised.
- Contribute to room audits and uphold high standards of practice across the setting.
Candidate Requirements
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Knowledge of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and quality standards.
- Previous experience working within a UK nursery or Early Years setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children.
- The ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
