Axcis Education is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Primary Supply Teachers to work across a wide network of welcoming primary schools throughout Bristol.

During the last academic year, we worked closely with 28 different primary schools across Bristol, giving us a fantastic range of opportunities available for teachers looking for flexibility, variety and choice.

Whether you are looking for occasional supply days, regular weekly work, or longer-term placements, we can help you find the right role to suit your availability and experience.

We welcome applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable classroom experience and experienced teachers seeking flexible work without the commitment of a permanent position.

About the Role

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Step into a variety of classroom environments and quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Follow lesson plans provided by the class teacher and school
  • Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school expectations
  • Support pupils' learning, progress and wellbeing throughout the school day
  • Work across a range of Bristol primary schools, gaining experience in different settings and communities
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Are confident teaching across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Have experience working within a primary school setting (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome)
  • Can quickly adapt to new environments and classroom routines
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Are reliable, enthusiastic and passionate about making a positive impact on children's learning
