The Role

As a Primary School Supply Teacher, you will take responsibility for teaching a KS1 or KS2 class, depending on your experience and strengths.

Key responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress.
  • Managing behaviour effectively and maintaining high expectations.
  • Working closely with parents, support staff and the senior leadership team.
  • Using technology, including Google Classroom, to enhance learning.
  • Adapting teaching approaches to meet the changing needs of pupils and the school.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in a UK mainstream primary school.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Confidence using educational technology, including Google Classroom, or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • A nurturing, adaptable and proactive approach.
  • Flexibility and resilience within a dynamic school environment.
