About the Role

The successful candidate will support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The role involves:

  • Providing 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Covering teachers' Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time by confidently leading whole‑class learning across the school.
  • Working closely with teachers and the SEND team to deliver high‑quality learning experiences.
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

Ideal Candidate

  • HLTA status or strong experience as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND, including pupils with EHCPs.
  • Confidence in leading whole‑class learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A flexible, proactive and positive approach.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
