Axcis Education is recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Ormskirk. This full‑time role offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on pupils during a crucial stage of their primary education. The successful candidate will initially join the school on a temp‑to‑perm basis, working a set number of weeks through Axcis before joining the school on a permanent contract.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Prepare pupils for SATs while maintaining a positive and inspiring learning environment.
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, achievement, and wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
