About the Role
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience in personal care? We are looking for caring, reliable individuals to register with Axcis Education to support our partner schools in Oldham. As a Teaching Assistant (Personal Care), you will work closely with students who require additional support throughout the school day.
- Providing 1:1 or small group support
- Assisting with personal care needs (toileting, feeding, hygiene) in a respectful and dignified manner
- Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN), including autism, physical disabilities, or complex needs
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
- Experience providing personal care (preferred but not essential if willing to train)
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
