Locations: Rochdale & Oldham. Start Date: ASAP. Pay: Competitive rates (paid weekly).
Axcis Education is currently recruiting experienced SEND Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across a number of primary schools in Rochdale and Oldham. These roles involve providing 1:1 support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning and thrive within the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis with a range of SEND needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties)
- Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs
- Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation
- Supporting learning both in and out of the classroom
Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a SEND LSA (school-based experience preferred)
- A patient, caring and proactive approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
