We are working with a local mainstream primary school local to Oldbury. This role will be working long-term on a 1-to-1 role with a Year 2 student who is autistic and has pathological demand avoidance (PDA). The child requires a supportive, understanding individual who will be dedicated to their learning & development.

The individual we are looking to appoint does not necessarily need to have school experience; we are happy to consider someone with transferrable SEND support experience. This role will last to a minimum of July 2026; however, as the child is expected to stay in-school long-term, this role will be expected to continue into the next academic year 2026/2027.

In role, you will be working Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 3:30, during term time only. This role pays on a weekly basis at a daily rate starting from £89 per day (PAYE) dependent on experience & qualifications.

The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As such, you will be required to provide an up to date DBS, or be prepared to allow Axcis to process one on your behalf, in addition to other mandatory compliance checks in line with the DfE guidelines.

If the position you are applying for involves working with children or vulnerable adults, this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.

You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role. Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
