Axcis Education is supporting an independent SEND provision who are looking for a full time Psychology Tutor to work in an Independent Specialist Provision in the Newton Abbot area, delivering bespoke Psychology lessons to a post 16 student with ASD and complex needs on a 1:1 basis. The working hours for this role are from 8.30 to 4.30, with pay rate ranging from £135-£175 a day, depending on previous experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and tailored Psychology lessons on a 1:1 basis.
- Support the educational and personal development of a post-16 student with ASD and complex needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and therapists to provide a holistic learning experience.
- Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Experience teaching Psychology at secondary or college level.
- Qualified Teachers (QTS or equivalent) are encouraged to apply.
- Unqualified Teachers with relevant experience are also welcome.
- Experience working with vulnerable young people or learners with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
- A nurturing, patient and positive approach to building relationships with students.
