Axcis Education are supporting an independent SEND provision in Newton Abbot, who are looking for a full time Mathematics Teacher (or Unqualified Mathematics Teacher/Tutor) to deliver bespoke Mathematics lessons to a post 16 student with ASD and complex needs on a 1:1 basis.
The working hours for this role are from 8.30 to 4.30, with pay rate ranging from £145-£210 a day, depending on previous experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and tailored Mathematics lessons on a 1:1 basis.
- Support the educational and personal development of a post-16 student with ASD and complex needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and therapists to provide a holistic learning experience.
- Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary or college level.
- Qualified Mathematics Teachers (QTS or equivalent) are encouraged to apply.
- Unqualified Maths Teachers with relevant SEND experience are also welcome.
- Experience working with vulnerable young people or learners with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
- A nurturing, patient and positive approach to building relationships with students.
- You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.
Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
