Responsibilities

  • Provide general teaching assistant support as part of the school staff, with thoughtful engagement for all students.
  • Administer care and, where required, change a catheter for a student, ensuring their comfort and maintaining their dignity.
  • Work closely with the school\'s health professionals to perform duties in accordance with established health care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of medical care provided and communicate concerns or observations to the relevant staff.
  • Establish a safe, nurturing environment that supports the student’s educational and health needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in changing catheters is essential – you must have performed this task previously.

  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
