A specialist SEND school in SW17 is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant / Farm Assistant to join their team, with an immediate start available from Friday 5th June. This is a full‑time role, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm. This is a unique and rewarding role combining support for young people with hands‑on farm work. The successful candidate must be comfortable working outdoors, getting involved in all aspects of animal care, and supporting a practical learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the daily care and welfare of farm animals
  • Mucking out and cleaning animal enclosures
  • Heavy lifting and manual handling duties
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Supporting students with practical farm‑based activities
  • Helping to maintain a safe and organised farm environment

Ideal Candidate

  • Be comfortable with all aspects of farm work
  • Have experience working with animals or within a farm, stable, smallholding, or agricultural setting

  • Be happy to wear practical clothing and get hands‑on in a farm environment
  • Have a positive, flexible and proactive attitude
  • Experience working with young people or within an educational setting is desirable but not essential
