Axcis are proud to be supporting a high-performing secondary school in Tower Hamlets who are seeking an enthusiastic and confident Science Teacher to teach KS4 and KS5, on a full-time, long-term maternity cover, starting after February half term, with trial days before the break.
The school has a well-resourced Science department, excellent lab facilities and a culture of strong academic outcomes supported by clear behaviour systems and pastoral care. This is an ideal opportunity for a Science teacher looking to teach at GCSE and A-Level within a supportive, forward-thinking school environment.
In this role, you will be:
- Teaching Science across KS4 and KS5, including GCSE and A-Level classes.
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that challenge and engage learners.
- Marking, assessing and tracking progress in line with school and exam board standards.
- Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development.
- Supporting pupils academically and pastorally where needed.

- QTS (or equivalent).
- Experience teaching Science at KS4, with KS5 experience highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management and subject expertise.
- Commitment to full-time, long-term work.
