We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our enriching educational environment in Wandsworth, London. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the diverse needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities, demonstrating a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEND, encouraging their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Work closely with classroom teachers to implement tailored learning strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Assist in the preparation of educational materials and resources to enhance student learning experiences.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records, sharing insights with teachers and parents as necessary.
- Build strong relationships with students, fostering a supportive and positive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and empathetic approach, demonstrating patience and understanding.
- Relevant educational qualifications and/or training in Special Educational Needs.
This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.
