We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teacher to join a well‑established primary SEMH school in Hillingdon, part of The Willows School Academy Trust. The role supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across London and surrounding counties, working with multiple local authorities and a contemporary, student‑focused ethos.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to primary‑aged pupils with SEMH needs.
- Support pupils in achieving their full academic, social, and emotional potential.
- Effectively manage challenging behaviour through positive and consistent strategies.
- Work collaboratively with a supportive multidisciplinary team.
- Utilise the school's excellent facilities and resources to enhance learning outcomes.
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment where pupils can thrive.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Previous experience working with pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Availability to attend trial days before September and commence employment from September 2026.
