Salary: £90–£95 per day

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

We are seeking a passionate and creative Drama Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and vibrant school community in Wandsworth. This role is ideal for a recent Drama graduate who is enthusiastic about education and keen to use their creativity, communication skills, and performance background to support pupils’ learning and personal development.

About the Role:

As a Drama Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support learning across the classroom while bringing creativity, confidence, and engagement into lessons. You will play a key role in supporting pupils through expressive activities, helping to build confidence, communication skills, and positive behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons
  • Use drama-based techniques to support pupils’ confidence, communication, and emotional expression
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and engagement
  • Assist with the preparation of creative learning materials and classroom resources
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including those requiring emotional or behavioural support
  • Monitor pupils’ progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Support classroom organisation and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related subject
  • A strong interest in pursuing a career in education, teaching, or youth work
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable)
  • Confidence, creativity, and strong communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo checks
  • A commitment to inclusion, equality, and supporting pupils from diverse backgrounds
