Axcis Education is currently recruiting a highly experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child with challenging behaviour in a specialist education setting located in Camden (NW5). This is a full-time, term-time only position and requires a confident, calm, and skilled professional who can support the child to self-regulate, use positive behaviour strategies, and maintain a safe and structured learning environment.
Role details:
- SEND Teaching Assistant role
- Full-time, term-time only
- 1:1 or small-group support
- Supporting a child with significant challenging behaviour
- Based in Camden, NW5
- Long-term role with immediate start available
The successful candidate will:
- Have strong experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour
- Be confident in de-escalation and regulation techniques
- Remain calm, patient, and consistent under pressure
- Ideally hold challenging behaviour training (e.g. Team Teach, MAPA, PRICE, or similar)
- Be able to follow behaviour support plans and contribute to progress reviews
- Work effectively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
