We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ASD & Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in Barnet (EN4). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students who require additional support to thrive both academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual support strategies.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals.
- Support students with personal care needs, where required, in a respectful and dignified manner.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with young people with ASD and/or behavioural challenges.
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive attitude and ability to adapt to individual student needs.
